How to Maximize Your Video Content
Over the past few months, we’ve been talking about Company Profile Videos. In many cases producing a Company Profile Video involves a video shoot at your office or other locations. After a full-day of shooting interviews and b-roll, we often have up to 3 or 4 hours of video content….and then we edit that down into a 2-3 minute video.
So the big question is, what happens to the other 2+ hours of footage you didn’t use?
And that’s today’s topic. How to repurpose all of your extra video content. Here are some ideas and samples.
Client Testimonial Videos
This is the most popular option with our clients. In your company profile video, we often are just pulling out brief soundbites from each client, so this is our chance to let your customers tell their story about why they love your business. We recommend keeping these to about a minute in length and ideally creating a page just for your client testimonial videos and written testimonials. This is a very powerful, but subtle sales tool.
Meet the Team Videos
This is another popular choice. These videos allow potential customers or clients to virtually meet you and your leadership team. This is a great way to connect with potential customers and give them a good feel for what it would be like working with you. These videos build familiarity and trust, which is why they are also a great sales tool….without being salesy.
Employee Recruitment Videos
This is a huge need for many local businesses right now, so we’ve been repurposing staff interview footage to create short recruitment videos for our client’s websites and social media. Potential employees are curious as to what it would be like to work at your company, so giving them an opportunity to virtually meet some of your staff is a great way to connect with them. Our clients using this strategy on social media are seeing a good number of clicks and adding Employee Videos to your Careers/Jobs page really helps to humanize your business.
Video Ads and Social Media Videos
And lastly, all that extra footage allows us to make great TV ads and social media videos to drive more people to your website or business. We can repurpose all that extra b-roll footage to keep your video ads looking fresh… plus short soundbites from staff or client testimonials are great for bringing home an important point in a 30-second ad.
We’ve even used b-roll from multiple shoots to create fun music videos, like this one.
Have a great week!
